Identity Malta is a non-profit organization that was established in 2005. The focus of identity Malta has been on the people who are in need of identity documents. This includes children, those who have lost their identity and refugees. Identity Malta offers identity and legal services to adults and minors through its regional centers.
Identity Malta has also helped over 4000 people with getting identity documents. As a result of this, identity Malta has helped these people embrace their identity as maltese citizens and not just as ‘migrants’.
Identity Malta Organisation
identity Malta also organizes identity days in different schools around malta. identity Malta has a very active Facebook page which gets thousands of hits each week and identity Malta is also present on Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
Identity Malta’s head office is in Ta’ Xbiex, Siggiewi, Qormi and most recently in the Cospicua Civic Centre near Farsons premises. An additional Service Centre was opened at Pembroke in Gozo to provide services for people from all over Gozo and Comino wishing to acquire their identity document. Additional service centers are planned for Żejtun at the old public library building as well as for St Paul’s Bay area either at the Rectorate or at the parish church. identity Malta also has volunteers from all around Malta working at identity Malta and who are ready to help in any way they can as well as a group of interns. identity Malta is an active member of FSM (Foundation for Social Entreprise)
Weekdays Identity Malta
Identity day started off in the eastern part of Malta, Sliema and Marsa. The identity days were held on Saturdays until identity Maltas founders realized that it was hard for people to take time off during the weekdays so identity day now takes place every Monday evening in different schools around malta.
The identity day programme includes: ‘How to apply’, legal advice, question and answer session with a lawyer and then parents are given their child’s identity card. identity Malta is also partnering with ‘Kids against Hunger’ and organizes an identity day in the children’s home centers. identity Malta has already organized 4 identity days in Sliema, 1 identity day in Marsa and one identity day at Kirkop. The aim for next year is to organize 5 identity days per month around malta with the help of its regional center volunteers.
So far Identity Malta has issued over 4000 identity cards! In a span of 7 years identity Malta went from only 8 people working for it to 50 people including interns and volunteers as well as continuous daily calls requesting more information so obviously going forward Identity Malta has huge plans on how to best serve their customers.

identity Malta also has a special group for volunteers identity Malta has 4 regional centers that work together with identity Malta and identity Malta now offers the opportunity to have identity days in Gozo and Comino as well as a center in Pembroke,Victoria allowing people to go there if they live on both islands so identity malta is very much aware of its surroundings and how best it can serve its customers. The identity day tour will be going through various regions around the whole island including a lot more schools. identity Malta has been working on creating identity days for people with disabilities and identity Malta will be setting up a place where these people can go to so they can get their identity card without complications. identity Malta has also been working in close contact with the police force and they are looking to partner up with other organizations as well as different institutions around malta so identity malta provides legal services by handing out leaflets regarding identity documents at places that need it like refugee centers, old peoples homes and similar institutes.
identity Malta is now going through an expansion period where new laws have come into being which identity Malta fully supports i.e. Maltese Citizenship through investment scheme, EU/maltese laws allowing minors to apply for identity cards directly etc.. identity Malta is now starting to work on identity Malta’s identity card renewal because identity malta realizes that identity cards are not forever and identity Malta would like to help its customers so they don’t lose their identity documents. Identity Malta has also started to do monthly identity day tours where people can acquire their identity cards in other areas around malta.
identity Malta is a Non-profit, independent and non-political identity document providing organization in Malta. identity Malta’s mission is to provide identity cards to Maltese Citizens who are first time applicants for identity cards at the age of 18, can not provide identity documents or where identity documents have been lost.
identity Malta works through many partnerships with both government and private organizations such as: schools, companies, universities, refugee centers etc.
identity Malta has many objectives that they work on namely: identity day tours around malta every Monday evening in different schools all around malta; ‘How to apply’ legal advice, question and answer session with a lawyer and then parents given their child’s identity card. identity day started off in the identity malta headquarters and identity Malta with its partner identity Malta has identity days in Sliema once a week on Mondays identity day tours around Sliema, identity days in Marsaxlokk once a bi-monthly identity day tour and identity days in Kirkop twice a month on Mondays. identity Malta also holds an annual ‘Identity Basket’ campaign where people donate school items for disadvantaged kids such as: school bags shoes stationery etc.. Identity Malta is planning to provide all services through the year so that students may acquire their identity cards at any time of the year.

• Twitter identity Malta has a twitter account where identity malta updates people about their upcoming identity days and identity Maltese citizens can ask questions regarding identity documents and get them answered by identity Malta’s lawyers. Identity bottles livestreaming too for live interaction.
